Lacy Johnson Brings On RightVoter in Campaign for Congress Against Rep. Ilhan Omar

April 7, 2020

RightVoter is announcing the addition of Lacy Johnson in MN-05 to its list of candidates for the upcoming election cycle. RightVoter will be serving as General Consultants to Lacy’s campaign for Congress.

Lacy Johnson is a small businessman who lives in Minneapolis with his family. He decided to run for Congress because he could not sit by as Rep. Ilhan Omar continued to harm the reputation of Minnesota’s Fifth District with her extreme agenda.

RightVoter, the national strategic consulting firm based in Washington, D.C., has offices in Charleston, South Carolina; Manchester, New Hampshire; and Indianapolis, Indiana. Its partners Michael Biundo, Andrew Boucher, Derek Dufresne, and Kory Wood have run and won campaigns from City Hall to the White House.

RightVoter associate Billy Grant, who is based in Minneapolis and helps run the firm’s operations in The North Star State, will also play a pivotal role in the campaign for MN-05.

RightVoter partner Michael Biundo and associate Billy Grant made the following joint statement:

“We are extremely excited to join Lacy Johnson’s team and to work with him in a race against one of the most partisan liberals in Congress.

“As a small businessman, Lacy understands what it will take to grow our economy, create jobs, and build on the successes of President Trump’s first term in the White House. Most importantly, Lacy knows how vital it is to help return a sense of pride and decency to MN-05 after Ilhan Omar has used this seat to further her personal extremist agenda.”

The Stuff No One Tells You About Hiring Your Campaign Staff

By Derek Dufresne (Partner) If there’s one thing I’ve learned after enough campaign cycles to measure my life in yard signs, it’s this: your team will make or break you long before voters do. Candidates obsess over messaging, polling, yard signs, and TV ads— but the...
